The past several years have been a roller coaster in Southwest Florida real estate. From the high of leading the nation in appreciation, to the low of leading the nation in foreclosures, most of us have experienced something of the ride, even if it's just to watch the prices rise and fall.

We'd be less than honest if we didn't acknowledge that the bottom of the real estate market has provided investors with some of the best buys they may ever see. At the same time we'd be less than humane if we didn't acknowledge that those transactions have often been at the price of another's loss.
